"Sono Elia Mattio, un giovane atleta che sogna di diventare professionista e di vivere di corsa. Per ora ho vinto un campionato europeo di corsa in montagna nella categoria U20 e numerosi titoli italiani. Ho vestito la maglia azzurra della nazionale in 6 competizioni facendo l'esordio anche con la nazionale maggiore lo scorso anno.
Uso HRV4Training tutti i giorni.

I also appreciate that you provide other metrics besides rMSSD, such as HF and LF, for example. I want to understand how different everyday situations can affect these analyses and how the graph will behave over time." |

David is a lifelong mover with a background in Physical Education and a not-quite-finished master’s in Sport Science. He has spent over 25 years coaching and training snowboard instructors, and the last 15 doing the same in mountain biking. He was part of the early crew that built the Professional Mountain Bike Instructor Association (PMBIA), where he served on the board for four years before stepping into the Executive Director role for another four. Now, for him, health has become a top priority, not just riding, but experimenting with periodized nutrition, structured training, and recovery strategies to stay sharp and durable.
"Using HRV4Training, I’ve started to notice trends I can almost predict. After a hard workout or long ride, I know my HRV will drop the next day, no surprise there. But when I’ve hit a good training rhythm and my body is adapting well, my HRV stays high, resting HR drops, and I know I’m moving in the right direction. It’s a great feeling to see the data line up with how I feel." |

Kaylie is a first-generation Dominican American, Nurse Anesthesiologist, and Functional Medicine Practitioner who loves to hike, run, cycle, and play pickleball to support her wholeSUM lifestyle. "As a nurse anesthesiologist, I was trained to be the ultimate guardian of someone else's physiology-finely tuned into the microscopic shifts that alert a clinician to danger. But there is a cruel irony in being a healer: you often become a ghost in your own life. While I was completely focused on keeping others safe, I was ignoring the fact that my own system was redlining. Eventually, I started running. It was the only thing that made sense-the simple, honest dialogue between my heart, my breath, and the pavement. But I quickly realized I didn't know how to trust my body anymore. After years of silencing my own needs to serve my patients, my internal compass was inaccessible. I couldn't tell the difference between the discomfort of growth and the warning signs of further depletion. That is where HRV4Training met me. It provided an objective bridge back to myself. It wasn't just about the data; it was about having a translator for my nervous system when I couldn't hear it myself. It transformed my "pushing through" mentality into a practice of "training with" awareness." |
|
Bjorn is a lifelong runner and co-founder of RunWise AI LLC. He competed in NCAA Division I cross country and track & field and has finished seven marathons, including Boston.
"I use HRV4Training as part of my morning routine, following the app’s guidance to take a measurement each day after waking. By tracking long-term trends, I’ve learned to better understand my physiological state, particularly how well I’m recovering from training and managing overall stress. Over time, I’ve noticed how factors like sleep, intensity, and even life stress affect my HRV baseline. HRV4Training has helped me translate that data into smarter training decisions such as when to push, when to hold back, and how to recognize early signs of fatigue before they become setbacks." |

"I am a former professional backcountry athlete specializing in multisport expeditions and bikepacking races, retiring in early 2024 after one too many concussions. As a longtime physical therapist and adventure coach, my personal journey with persistent post-concussion symptoms led me to pursue specialized training in concussion rehabilitation and mentorship. Now, I am dedicated to supporting others who are navigating the same challenges I once faced.
Following my most recent concussion I've been on a journey to return to my beloved adventure pursuits, which led me to discover HRV4Training and become a devoted reader of the HRV4Training Substack, learning everything I can and often using the information as inspiration to dive even further down research rabbit holes. Personally, I’ve been using HRV4Training primarily to monitor my autonomic nervous system’s response to exercise intensity, duration, and timing as I manage my concussion rehabilitation. Tracking how my ANS recovers after exercise and overnight sleep has been crucial in determining when to adjust the variables of my cardiovascular exercise, as well as other rehabilitative activities targeting my postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS). Without obvious symptoms like dizziness or headaches that are no longer present, I need to rely on ANS indicators such as HR and HRV to gauge my brain’s response to exercise and positioning. Thanks in large part to HRV4Training, as of October 2024 I can now enjoy my outdoor activities for nearly four hours—and counting—without compromising my sleep that night or my physical and cognitive performance the next day. In addition, my POTS has completely cleared up." |
